Direct deposit option now available to AMO members for vacation benefits

American Maritime Officers Vacation Plan participants are now able to complete a direct deposit application form, which will provide authorization to deposit vacation benefit checks directly into a bank account specified by each participant.

This form will be kept on file and all future vacation applications will be processed via direct deposit payment for participants who choose this method.

Benefit checks will be sent directly to the bank each participant specifies and an Explanation of Benefits will be sent to the address each participant has on file (this includes walk-in applicants for vacation benefits).

If an AMO member has a direct deposit form on file, once the initial application process is completed (up to five business days), vacation checks will be deposited into the account specified within 48 hours.

Please be aware that, if individual banking information changes at any time, a new direct deposit application will need to be submitted to the Vacation Plan so the plan can update records and process payments accurately. Once individual AMO members authorize direct deposit, this will be the primary method of payment.
