Maritime Administration provides comprehensive Web-based information system

Comprehensive data on the performance and condition of multiple elements of the U.S. maritime transportation system, including ports, vessels, waterways and intermodal connections, will be available through the Maritime Administration's new Web-based information system, MarView.

MarView will provide access to more than 2,500 links to sources of transportation data, offering statistics on intermodal freight transportation, as well as on trained and licensed mariners. The system will provide real-time vessel tracking, information on national and international ports, and data on waterways and facilities, as well as background facts on domestic and foreign shipbuilding and repair yards.
