LabCorp claim issues addressed

The AMO Medical Plan and UMR are aware of issues regarding LabCorp claims in the last month, which are being sent electronically.

LabCorp electronically issues claims through its electronic data interchange (EDI) vendor who in turn passes the claims to UMR's EDI vendor. During this process, due to programming issues within LabCorp's system, claims were being rejected and UMR did not actually receive the claims for payment.

UMR programmers have worked diligently with the LabCorp programmers to resolve the rejections. As of March 25, we believe all issues are resolved. Claims billed after this date should be correctly received by UMR for processing.

If you are receiving statements from LabCorp for services noted as denied, please verify UMR has received the claim in question (this information is available by registering online) or contact LabCorp and ask them to rebill the charges electronically or to mail a paper claim to the address on your ID card. You may also contact the AMO Plans Benefit Services Office at (800) 348-6515 extension 12.

We apologize for the inconvenience as we worked through this issue with LabCorp.
