The U.S. Department of Labor - Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) has received a complaint from Captain John N. Hearn concerning the December 6, 2010, American Maritime Officers National Election. OLMS is conducting an investigation under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, 29 U.S.C. § 482, concerning the allegations raised in Hearn's December 21, 2010, protest of the results of the 2010 AMO National Election.
AMO intends to cooperate fully with the Office of Labor-Management Standards in their investigation and will keep the AMO membership informed.
